With over 25 years in the Industry, Matt Michel Design is a team of designers capable of Kitchen, Bathrooms, Laundry design as well as full Interior design Service. We strive to combine a creative solution with our technical experience to provide a unique outcome for each project. It is important that it responds to our client’s vision, site, budget and time-frame. A small Boutique Studio in Castlecrag on Sydney’s North Shore, we work in collaboration with clients, and their consultants and contractors, to achieve a balance between functional and aesthetic.
We can also tender to our network of skilled cabinetmakers, builders, architects, stonemasons, glaziers and other trades, resulting in quality products that not only look great and will stand the test of time but are also great value for money.

Having presented at the Sydney Home Show on “Know your Style” Matt and his team are familiar with all the styles that can meet your requirements, From Minimalist Modern to Mid Century, Classical and Hamptons, through to Coastal and Industrial we can make each version suit the space.

Matt is Qualified with a Bachelor of Design and is a Member of the Design Institute of Australia (MDIA), and The Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute Australia (KBDi). Having worked independently as a “Cabinetry Consultant” after gaining experience as the in-house designer for a Bathroom Vanity Manufacturer, a large Sydney Kitchen company and Multinational Decorative Glass Manufacturer. Matt utilises the accuracy of Computer Aided Design for final drawings and detailing, but still prefers the speed of a pad and pen to communicate ideas with clients and contractors on site. Partial to quips and analogies to explain things from a different perspective, Matt’s favourite saying is “If you can’t hide something, make a feature of it..”
