KBDi and ACFA Merger

Latest News

We were delighted to share some exciting news with KBDi Members and Partners.

The Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute (KBDi) and the Australian Cabinet and Furniture Association (ACFA) are embarking on a strategic merger that promises to revolutionise the kitchen, bathroom, and cabinetry sector.

This merger will forge a powerful alliance, combining our strengths and resources to serve you better than ever before. From concept design to project completion, this new union will deliver it all.

Why are KBDi considering a merger?

  • To ensure the ongoing viability of KBDi: by joining forces with ACFA, we’re strengthening our base – both financially and strategically – and securing our future.
  • A merger with a strong and like-minded organisation will be a step towards a broader and more influential K&B industry organisation.
  • To strengthen our position in advocacy: as a united front, we stand to have a much greater voice for our members and industry.

Why merge with ACFA?

ACFA are a long established and well-respected association with 75 years of history in the kitchen and furniture manufacturing sectors.

Both KBDi and ACFA have similar goals and aspirations for the future.

ACFA are a registered training organisation and deliver apprenticeship training in NSW and VIC. They are very interested in expanding their training portfolio to include the Cert IV in Design of Kitchen and Bathrooms. The merger will allow us to have direct input into the development of training, bringing great benefit to KBDi members and the design industry.
