KBDi and ACFA Merger

We were delighted to share some exciting news with KBDi Members and Partners.

The Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute (KBDi) and the Australian Cabinet and Furniture Association (ACFA) will officially merge in a strategic alliance that promises to transform the kitchen, bathroom, and cabinetry sector in Australia.

This merger unites two respected organisations with shared values and a common vision. Together, we will create a more powerful, connected, and resourceful organisation, serving our members from concept design to project completion and elevating the industry as a whole.

Why are KBDi considering a merger?

Why merge with ACFA?

ACFA are a long established and well-respected association with 75 years of history in the kitchen and furniture manufacturing sectors.

Both KBDi and ACFA have similar goals and aspirations for the future.

ACFA are a registered training organisation and deliver apprenticeship training in NSW and VIC. They are very interested in expanding their training portfolio to include the Cert IV in Design of Kitchen and Bathrooms. The merger will allow us to have direct input into the development of training, bringing great benefit to KBDi members and the design industry.
