Owner & Principal Designer Allan has enjoyed multi-faceted employment in many areas of the building industry since completing an apprenticeship in cabinet making in 1973. He continued to learn and develop his skills throughout, culminating in Allan gaining his accreditation as a Certified Kitchen Designer in 1995 and later as a Certified Bathroom Designer. Allan has continued to increase his knowledge base through seminars, study and visits to the great trade fairs of Europe. It is by keeping abreast of the latest trends and innovation that Allan has been successful in expanding the company he established in 1982 to the level of acclaim it receives today. Allan’s aesthetically pleasing, practical designs allow his clients to enjoy efficient, expedient use of space in all areas of cabinetry, whether in the study, office, studio, bedroom, laundry or bathroom. But, with Allan’s passion for cooking, it is in the kitchen where his well-honed eye for function and form is most evident in his designs. In recent years Allan has appreciated the stimulation of associating with his peers in the capacity of Secretary of the Victorian Chapter of the Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute – a position he has held since the Institutes’ establishment in Victoria in 2007. He has also expanded his knowledge with several trips to Italy, Germany Italy Spain and Austria to study overseas trends, materials, fixtures, fittings, lighting and designs.
