What makes Qasair Rangehoods so quiet?

A message from our Corporate Plus Partner, Qasair

Since 1972, Qasair Rangehoods have been designed and manufactured in Australia. Our focus is on effectively removing cooking by-products from kitchens while maintaining quiet operation.

As new cooking appliances enter the market, designs continue to evolve to accommodate the changing range of cooking equipment and cookware available in Australia.

There are two important factors to consider when selecting a rangehood.

The first is ensuring sufficient air movement (extraction capacity) to match the heat output of the cooking appliance.

The second is using correctly sized ducting. Our ducting system is designed not to restrict airflow, allowing the rangehood to perform at its full capacity. In addition, all Qasair duct components are made from solid, non-flammable materials. This means that, in the event of a flare-up, the ducting will not contribute to the spread of fire within the walls or ceiling.

What makes Qasair Rangehoods so quiet?

Qasair rangehoods are uniquely insulated with Megasorber P Fireproof Acoustic Panels, a specialised sound-absorption material designed to reduce operating noise. Megasorber P incorporates patented Soundmesh G8 technology (Australian Patent No. 2009206497) and is engineered to provide excellent acoustic performance, particularly at low to mid frequencies.

The material is installed inside the rangehood body around the motors, helping to absorb sound and reduce noise levels during operation. This advanced insulation is one of the reason why Qasair rangehoods are known for their quiet performance.

Megasorber P is fire-resistant and is fitted to the majority of Qasair models wherever space and design specifications allow.
