Until recently, the very idea of reducing a drawer side to 8 mm and, moreover, making
industrial production commercially viable would have been technically unthinkable.
GRASS is now turning this vision into a reality.
It is always a question of pushing the boundaries of what is feasible. And the slim drawer system is based on the same reasoning: How can we produce a highly effective and sustainable system using less space and less material? Boundaries may shift again at some point, but for the next decade at least, V8 will come to define things.
If less is more, V8 offers a lot of it. Here no corner, no edge, no groove is too much. Quite the opposite: The slim drawer system demonstrates an impressive and strictly geometric design with no further scope for reduction. V8 exudes a majestic calm. And its architectural clarity makes the 8-millimetre drawer sides look even slimmer and even more elegant.
Thanks to the extremely slim design and the continuous rectangular shape, Vionaro V8 provides up to 16 percent more space in the base cabinet. Even fronts up to 780 mm in height present no issue at all for the system. All elements relevant to the stability of the drawer system – i.e. drawer side, back panel clip and front connection – are made of steel, which proves instrumental. This makes V8 a lightweight contender, yet fully resilient.
For us, environmental protection means taking responsibility. Our goal has therefore been to develop a sustainable drawer system with V8, which not only can be produced and coated in an environmentally friendly manner, but whose materials can also be recycled. The concept of the world’s first all-metal drawer side resulted from this. Consequently, we have completely dispensed with plastic elements, foams and adhesives in pursuit of robustness, sustainability and recyclability. We are convinced that climate protection begins with the small things.
